Have you ever had the feeling that you're shouting in a vacuum?
Have you ever wondered whether there is any value in what you are doing over and above the catharsis of getting it out of your head and onto Media?
Well, I'm a couple of months into this blog now, and a handful of kind people have been interested enough to subscribe, and a half dozen have even made some most welcome comments - stopping me from feeling too lonely.
But I'm afraid that most visitors simply read and pass on by without comment, leaving no trace behind them that they have found anything useful, interesting or thought-provoking on my blog.
So, if you're reading this, I'd like to ask you:
What would prompt you to reach out and engage with one of my posts by commenting or "liking" it?
Is the "subscribe" process obvious and easy to use?
What would topics you like me to blog about?
Over to you folks. Please let me know where to focus and how to improve. I'm just a bloke with dementia trying to shine a light for others to see what it's like in my world.
You are very kind Pam. Thank you.
Pete, Sorry for not commenting recently. Please continue your blog - you know I think you’re an inspiration and I know how it helps you as much as others! I always read your posts but for some reason do sometimes have difficulty logging in and leaving comments. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with such honesty xx
Absolutely. There is no remission from dementia, and no cure. Eventually (if nothing else gets us first), our dementia will polish us off. It's another "elephant in the room" that we don't often like to talk about. But you're right! we ought to. Great topic for a blog. Thank you.
Hi Peter something that I’d be really interested in your take on is dementia of any type is not hidden away anymore and there is more information out there thanks to the internet but not much about the fact it is a life limiting condition but is not generally treated as such. Now I’m not saying we should all sit at home worrying about it but as Iit said to me was that with cancer the recovery rate is higher than ever and there is always hope with dementia there is no hope yet of a cure and it is the biggest killer in the uk today but we don’t get the support or consideration of having what is …
Hi Chris. Supportive as ever. Thank you. It's your kind words and encouragement that motivate me to continue baring my soul and trying to find interesting and informative topics to write about. Perhaps I should pick a subject for a longer article? I'm never sure how long a blog post should really be 🤔
